Mila Kunis, the 32-year-old star from Bad Moms proves that unlike her fictional movie character Amy, she is a super cool parent in real life.
The soon to be mother of two and wife of Ashton Kutcher, Kunis is insistent that her kids are raised right so they don’t turn into a- -holes.
While on Australia’s Kyle and Jackie O show, she expressed how important it is to both her and Ashton to raise good children who don’t act like complete jerks. “It’s so important because we both came from pretty solid poverty backgrounds and grew up very poor and are very much self-made and are very aware of what a dollar is worth. Nothing’s been handed to us”.
To teach their kids the value of money and hard work, and to break down any notions of entitlement, they plan to teach their two-year-old daughter Wyatt Isabelle and baby on the way that although their parents have been successful, the kids have yet to acquire any real money of their own. As she explained, “It’s a matter of teaching them from a very early age that, you know, mommy and daddy may have a dollar, but you’re poor. “You are very poor, you have nothing. Mommy and daddy have a bank account.”
Though the couple came from humble beginnings and have now amassed a fortune of over $170 million, they keep quite a down to earth lifestyle as much as possible. Their wedding bands for example cost $90 off of Etsy. Though Kunis received a whopping 5-carat $250,000 Tiffany solitaire engagement ring after the marriage, she never wears it. The platinum wedding bands from Etsy were everything that Kunis wanted “wonderful and beautiful and simple” as she told Conan. “My engagement ring is beautiful, but I don’t ever wear it. This ring, I’m like, ‘It’s $90!’ It’s great.”
Now how is that for a cool mom?!
