In a recent study conducted by the University of Indiana, the incidence of women cheating on their partners is on the rise. Though men still cheat more frequently than women, the ladies are closing in on that gap faster than you might think. Ever wonder why?
Recent research conducted by M. Gary Newman, a psychotherapist and New York Times bestselling author, concluded that sexual infrequency is a key reason why women stray, as does a lack of solid communication. If the woman doesn’t feel like she can talk to and have open dialogue with her partner, nor if she isn’t having sufficient sex she is statistically more likely to cheat.
Another factor that is highly attributed to causing female infidelity is general unhappiness in the relationship according to Anthropologist Helen Fisher. If a woman isn’t “happy” she is more likely to cheat. Another study conducted by the University of Washington recently discovered that the more successful a woman is, say making over $75k each year, the more likely they are cheat.
According to Charles J. Orlando, the bestselling author of The Problem With Women…is Men and Lisa Brateman, a psychotherapist from LCSW, the best way to keep a woman from straying is to keep putting in the effort. If a guy assumed that they could just put the work in when you were first dating and then later let the woman keep this up on her own, he might be in for a rude awakening and probably some heartbreak too!
And the one thing that all researchers seem to agree on that you would have never guessed? The rate of female infidelity is on the rise. So much so, that women are now 40% more likely to cheat than they were 20 years ago! 40%! Looks like the gap between man and female cheaters is closing in…
